My high-elevation pond experience

I hiked into a small alpine pond few weeks back and the view alone was worth it. The air was thin, the water crystal clear, and the trout were spooky but hungry. High-elevation pond fishing is demanding, but every cast feels like part of the adventure. Has anyone else tried fishing at high altitude?

Yeah, I’ve done it, I hiked into a mountain pond once and thought the altitude was gonna win but when those trout started hitting topwater, I forgot I couldn’t breathe, it was totally worth every step!
