With VA Gun Trader going by the wayside, this is a good time to have a managed or monitored Buy-Sell-Trade area.
I do not have permission to start one, so maybe the site administrators would open one up?
I would offer to help write out some rules so that it doesn't get swamped with crap, if you needed help.

The ability to make new posts have been suspended. They are asking for donations, and promise to start up again if they get a revenue stream going.
So for now, it is not operational. .

WOW! This is an unexpected and sad event. I'm curious as to the expense of running and maintaining a site such as VGT. I was under the impression that the many commercial entities listed was their main stream of income, plus random donations.

It's no secret that VAGunTrader has had issues of late. Being honest, it has a lot of things going against it. Inflation making disposable income less accessible, and political actions from the previous VA Administration are among the leading ones (Universal Background on Private Sales). The gun industry as a whole is having issues. You can only have so many panic buys before "people" stop buying. Heck, Anderson Manufacturing, the king of low budget, just closed for good. I have been on VaGunTrader for 13 years. I have had many positive interactions and acquisitions. I hope it continues and can pull itself up. The same issues VaGunTrader has/will have, are the same that would present itself here.

I'm pretty sure that the Background Check reason is the one significant cause of less listings.

However, as always, it's about cash flow. It cost them more to run the site than they took in, simple as that. The internet version of "rent". You can't pay the rent? Well then, the business closes.
