I've been looking for the best bore cleaners that really get the job done without damaging the rifling. What do you guys recommend? Have you found any specific brands that outperform the rest?
Over the years my traditional bore cleaner was Hoppe's #9. I know, boring but it works. My real go to is Break Free CLP because it can be a one stop shop for anything other than black powder guns and the military does or did use a similar product.
I use a combination of products to clean my benchrest rifles. Free-All penetrating oil, JB's bore paste and Thorough Flush. I use worn out wire bore brushes wrapped with a patch with JB's on it for removing hard carbon.
