Perfect carry revolver?

What's your go-to carry revolver and what makes it your top choice? I'm eager to hear from those of you who carry revolvers on a daily basis about your experiences and what you find most effective in practical situations.

A 1960's S&W Model 49 Airweight & Ruger LCR w/ Crimson Trace laser grip. First in line is the Ruger due to the laser grip; Model 49, when I feel nostalgic. I've always been a S&W snob.

I always carry, and for quick trips, it is a revolver. The S&W 340PD. It is light, about 11 ounces, and handles .357 mag. Since I'm mostly retired, I am often out for just a fast errand run and don't anticipate needing more capacity. This replaces both my Model 64 S&W, 3", and my 644 Airweight, which were the revolvers I'd most likely be carrying before I got the 340PD.

For more complex situations, shopping in big stores, going to movies, outdoor activities, road trips, I carry a pistol.

I carry a Kimber K6s 3" daily IWB, and my usual load is .38 special+p hollow points. For quick trips to the store, I throw my S&W Model 360 in my jacket or pants pocket. Although both can be loaded with .357 loads, I don't. I value my hearing too much if I needed to use them in a self-defense situation, especially indoors.

2.5" S&W Model 686+ OWB concealed in a leather pancake holster when not at work. When at work or when I need extra concealment, my 3" S&W Model 60 IWB. I carry Underwood 38 Special 158 gr Hardcast Keith in both.

I have an older one, in .38spl, and it is the perfect mix of size and ability.

I carry an old Colt Cobra, but in the last year or so it's developed a wiggle in the firing pin and isn't reliably firing. Looking for a local gunsmith to take a look at it, but also looking at picking up a Rock Island 206; heard good things about them, and certainly can't argue with the price.

The Rock Island 206 gets good reviews for reliability across all platforms including reddit, You Tube and dealer's buyer reviews. . Seems like a good choice for a back up to a real gun. While the Colt is out getting fixed, maybe the RI can take its place?

I personally wouldn't carry a piece that looked that rough all the time, just as I wouldn't wear an ugly watch. It's not about fashion, it's about confidence. I want my carry guns to instill me with confidence in their manufacturing... and the RI looks like it was made from balls of sandpaper.

I have a classic 1972 S&W Mod 36 .38 snubby. Still 100% all original.
I snatched it up off Gunbroker a while back for a decent price!
When contacting the FFL dealer about it, I was told that it really was
a real LEO's piece way back in the day, based out of Ocala, FL! How cool!
