Patterning targets are expensive

Those big sheets of paper add up fast, so I started using cheap poster board instead. They work just as well, what do you use for patterning?

I just use big rolls of butcher paper and draw my own aiming point. It is cheap and it works for me. No need to overspend on something you are just going to staple up and shoot at.

Poster board works just fine. I've even used flattened cardboard boxes before. Once you can see your groupings, it doesn't really matter what kind of paper it is.
