Wow... What a place, over on Broad St., near Horsepen. The new Freedom Outdoors range (i.e. used to be Colonial Shooting Academy). 100% class, no "riff raff", and the RSO's don't have attitudes or act like a D.I. at Parris Island (just sayin'). The only negative comment/review or anything like that would be - it's EXPENSIVE compared to other places (Green Top Range, etc..)

* 50 rounds of cheap Herter's 115gr FMJ target loads from Cabela's.
* 12 round mag, 17 round mag (w/ adapter), 12 round, 17 round, ...alternating between each.
* No FTF, no stovepipes, no FTE, no jams, ...nothing. Smooth trigger action but shot a hair low at first (I'm rusty).
* Very well built 9mm. I shot righthanded (both eyes open), and switched lefthanded (left eye open, right eye closed).
* This thing is cool, being 100% ambidextrous (remember the old Ruger SR9 and SR40 series from years ago?

Reliability right away is encouraging, once you dial elevation, that Ruger should really shine..

Thanks.... Yeah, I (ashamed) was incredibly rusty with the new Ruger. But it performed flawlessly and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Once I did settle down and get refocused, my target looked like swiss cheese, with holes scattered around the 9 ring (and only 1 or 2 in the 10 ring! :( ). But then, that's to be expected with a (new) firearm, and also with being a bit out of practice.

If anyone wants this, feel free to Right Click, and select "Save Image As", download it and keep it for yourself. Print it out if you want too. It's designed for a common 8½ x 11 piece of paper.

Groups will tighten fast once muscle memory kicks back in. Nice target too!
Thanks... A rather funny thing about that target. I found a plain version on the internet, saved it, etc... brought it up in Photoshop, and started coloring it in, adding a text heading, etc... and saved it as a final copy. I posted it on various forums over the years, and so many people I know have right clicked on it "save image as..." and kept a copy for themselves! Who knew that my own little custom made 8½ x 11 printer paper target would be a hit? LOL! :cool:
