Wow... Check it out... Brand new, straight from Bud's Gun Shop in KY, never been fired (...yet).
Has a 17 round mag (with adapter sleeve) and the common 12 round mag (w/ pinky extension).
Totally 100% ambidextrous too. Mag release, thumb safety, etc... Very cool!

Thanks... And for anyone local around the metro Richmond area, look up Sonny's Guns & Transfer, if you need an FFL guy. Holy moly is this guy incredible! Basic, regular dude like all of us, you know? Operates out of his house with his wife. Terminal setup right there, live, with the 4473. $20 bucks cash... Sha-boom, done! 😁

Edit: From what I read from guys on a Ruger forum... Remember the old SR9, SR40, handguns from like 10,12,15 years ago that Ruger put out? Well, after they phased them out... they refined them, upgraded them, and rebranded them as the Ruger American. #1 caveat - Anyone with an old SR9 or parts/mags from an SR9, is out of luck, as they won't work with the American. Also, you CAN NOT use aftermarket mags (Mec-gar, Pro-mag, etc...) in the Ruger American, which kind of sucks. You have to use OEM Ruger mags --- $$$. :(
