I’ve been exploring Vermont to find good places to stretch out past 300 yards, and it’s been a fun challenge. The hills and valleys make for tricky wind calls, but that’s part of the learning. Local shooting clubs seem to offer the best long-range setups and I’ve hit a few ranges around central Vermont but I’m still looking for more open spots.

That can be a challenge in the Northeast! Have you looked into any of the national forest areas or larger state game lands that allow for appropriate, safe backstops, or are you primarily focused on formalized range setups?

It takes some work to find good long-distance shooting spots in Vermont, but the wind practice is worth it
