Honest question, how often do you really clean?

I see people online cleaning after every range trip. I clean maybe every few hundred rounds unless it's really dirty.

For my daily carry/duty gun, or frequently used guns, every couple hundred rounds.

For Garands, or M-1 A, barrel every time, but leave the action alone until I’m at several hundred rounds. Field stripping wears the wood, and, grease stays in place.

For everything else, field strip, clean and lube every time - because it might sit in the safe for a couple of years before I see it again.

I clean my guns when they need it, not by how many rounds I shoot. If I notice the accuracy going down or the action getting slow, then I take it apart and clean it. If not, I just wipe it down, add some oil and keep shooting.
