Follow through is something I ignore

I shoot and immediately look to see where I hit. I am probably messing up my shots doing that and I should stay on target longer. What's your follow through like? Do you actually do it right?

Yep, guilty too, looking early kills accuracy. I try to stay on target a beat longer, it helps.

Doesn't really matter what sport, follow through improves the accuracy. Tennis, golf, baseball, all have the mantra of follow through.
Shooting a moving target, like in clay sports, lifting your head before the follow through is probably the hardest habit to break with a student. Also makes it impossible to hit any doubles.
Shooting a still target board, it not only ruins your shot, but it makes it harder to hit the follow up shot too. Lifting your head off the gun too soon will quickly get worse and become a flinch.

I make myself keep the crosshairs on the target and say when I'm going to shoot before I move. If I rush to look, my shots are all over the place.
