I'm tricking out a Glock 17 for competitions and I'm thinking about adding a match barrel with threads, an optics cut, a competition trigger, a magwell and a lightened connector. Slide work and a new recoil spring are also on my radar but I gotta ask , what parts will really cut down stage times without breaking down?

Focus on a good sight cut and trigger. That's how you get faster, all the extra slide work just makes it need certain ammo. Keep it working, you know?

Get a good barrel and optic first then upgrade to a better trigger and recoil spring. Don't mess with the slide too much.

Change the recoil spring and get the slide worked on so it works better. Get parts that are made for matches, not just for show.

A threaded barrel and magwell are cool but won't improve your speed as much as a good trigger and sight.

If you want faster times, get a new trigger and recoil spring. A 3.5lb connector and 15lb spring will let you shoot faster while keeping that Glock feel

A flat-faced trigger and solid connector are way better than any tricked-out barrel for speed. Get those right, then work on your slide
