Hey folks, I'm on the hunt for a good folding knife and could use some suggestions. What do you all carry around? I'd love to hear your recommendations and the reasons behind your choices. If you've got pictures, feel free to share!

I guess it might not be ONLY a folding knife but it has a couple of good knives in it. For giggles on a day to day basis I use a Leatherman Wave. It is not new so I don't know if the Wave has changed over the years but the main knife is super sharp and tough. Holds an edge. For hunting I use fixed blade knives, a smaller one for skinning and a larger Bowie style that a guy in VA Beach made, he was starting out in forging at the time, both knives have antler handles. I took them to Backwoods Leather out in Windsor and had him make a double knife sheath for them.

I alternate between a Benchmade Griptilian, Benchmade Bugout or Spyderco Delica 4 & back it up with a CRKT CEO.

As Bedfordboy stated, a Buck 110 is hard to beat if you don't mind wearing it on your belt. My main 110 has been my work/utility knife for 25+ years. I don't seem to be able to wear it out. I refer to it as my "Take a lickin' & keep on cuttin' knife". If you are looking for a pocket knife, a Case is an excellent choice. I have a 1970's "Peanut" (small), Case that I snapped the blade off at the tang. Called Case, sent it back, and they replaced the blade and made it look like new. There was no abuse of the knife when the blade snapped, just using the back of the blade to loosen a small screw.

I have had this knife since the mid70's and it has never failed. Keep it sharp and well taken care of and it apparently won't die... LOL It has skinned many a deer. They aren't expensive and work great. It is the Imperial Schrade Old Timer Sharpfinger. I keep the leather sheath well oiled and it still looks like the day I bought it.
