Anyone heard of the Montana Knife Company?

I caught an episode of the Dave Ramsey EntreLeadership podcast recently where Josh Smith, the founder of Montana Knife Company, was a guest. He shared some insights on their focus on high-quality, American-made knives, which really caught my attention.

The knives look great, but I haven't had the chance to try one myself. I'm curious if anyone here has experience with them. How do they perform in real-world use?

Good knives, hold an edge well over a three to five day hunt. We didn't get to cape or gut anything - so somewhat more of an opinion than a field test. I'm not sure they do better than an Outdoor Edge swing blade or a custom blade costing half as much. They do more marketing hype than I like - if you sign up for their knifes drops - they'll ring your phone out of the holder before the drop.

That said - they are American made, marketed, and have held events that donated back for the CA fires and the NC floods with fund raisers.

Maybe a day late, dollar short here but thought I would add my 2 cents. MKC makes very good knives. Like anything, you get what you pay for but MKC, similarly priced to companies like Benchmade, seem to me, IMO, be a little better. I have owned several of both and have had less maintenance with the MKC. Nothing against Benchmade, they are great knives but MKC just seem to hold up better. Made in US, Josh is a Master Bladesmith, 30 years, since the age of 19 yrs old, they give back.... a lot and support veterans, hunting...etc. I have tried quite a few different companies for fixed and folding blades an keep coming back to MKC and Benchmade.....when I can afford either. All depends on what you use it for and how much you use it. Opening letters or packages....don't spend the money but, if you use your knife in the outdoors or shop...often, then buy once, cry once.
