Who has one? My wife and I just picked up one yesterday (5 in stock) from Ace Hardware.

This little thing is powerful for its lightweight size! Incredible, and from what we understand, it's constantly "out of stock"...

See, we also have a real POS battery powered hand-held thing from Walmart called Hyper-tech or Hyper-Tough or something like that... Seriously, man, it DIES within 10 minutes max, and you have to swap in another battery! :rolleyes:

Anyone have one of these by Stihl?
 
I think a friend told me about that one, he loves his Stihl and says it’s light but has a strong recoil for how small it is and also way better than those battery-powered ones

Nothing wrong with Echo products. They are very dependable.
I have never had an issue with any of my current ten Sthil products. I heat with wood and constantly use the chain saws (MS250-16" bar, MS291-18"bar, 391-20" bar, 460-24"-32 ' bar). I have aHT-101 pole saw and a GTA26 battery pruner. I have an FS-85 and FS-94r string trimmers and the BR-600 backpack blower.
I had an older 046 chainsaw that melted a piston. After having it repaired, I quit using ethanol enhanced gasoline which caused the problem. Nary a problem since. I am originally from the mountains of East Tennessee. We use our corn to make whiskey not to put into gasoline.
Stihl, much like John Deere or Caterpillar has the better parts network.
 
I’m with Jim. I got the biggest Stihl blower they made in 2014. I think it was called the Magnum back then but essentially a BR600. Put a new plug in every year. Starts every time and never a moments problem. It may blow up tomorrow and it owes me nothing. I blow the routes to my tree stands every year. This makes for quiet trips in and out of the woods. It clears all the leaves to bare dirt pretty much as fast you can walk along. Your yard will be a piece of cake.
The secret is to NEVER USE ANY ETHANOL GAS!!!

EXACTLY!!!!

I read and re-read, the brand new 2025 Stihl owner's manual. Today's 2-stroke engines "don't play nice" with regular gas and 10% ethanol! Then again, I mean, yeah.... They *could* after a few years of use, but even then, not on a steady diet. Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc... all sell the premix 50:1 non-ethanol fuel/oil mixture from a small 32oz can to... as big as you might need! :cool:
